J. Sridevi born in Secunderabad on 13.06.1968 as youngest  among three daughters of H/Capt R Jaganathan and J Navaneetham did her primary schooling at DTEA School at  RK Puram, New Delhi And then high school and higher secondary in Kalyanam girls higher secondary school, Chennai, graduation in science in Ethiraj College, Chennai and then B.L degree in Madras Law College and then ML from Madras University now pursuing PhD. in law of criminology in Madras University.

She was recruited as a civil Judge junior division on 02.03.1998 served in Salem, Coimbatore, Erode, Dindigul and then promoted as  on 18.01.2009  and served in Chennai and Tirupur and then promoted as District judge on 01.11.2014 served as family judge for five years and then as additional District judge,  permanent Lok-Adalat ,Chief Judge Small Causes Court and then as Sessions Judge, Mahila Court and Spl additional court to deal with POCSO Cases.

She has joined as Registrar in National Green Tribunal, Southern Zone Bench, Chennai on 1^st April, 2021.
