Justice Dalip Singh practised as an advocate in the Rajasthan High Court on the civil, criminal and constitutional side, and was counsel for, amongst others, University of Rajasthan, Jaipur, Kota Open University, New India Insurance Company and Oriental Insurance Company. He served as Additional Advocate General for the State of Rajasthan in 1989-90. Appeared for the Government of Rajasthan, Income Tax Department, Central Excise and Customs Department, Government of India and the Election Commission of India. Was appointed President of the Rajasthan High Court Bar Association in 1996-1997. Justice Dalip Singh was elevated to the post of a judge in the Rajasthan High Court on September 2, 2004. He retired as Judge of the High Court on November 17, 2012 and thereafter appointed as Judicial Member of the National Green Tribunal with effect from July 24, 2013 and his tenure ended on November 17, 2017.
